Big Siblings

The top question I've been asked since having Andrew is how his big siblings are adjusting to a new baby. And I am pleasantly surprised that they are all doing SO well!

I distinctly remember when Lucas was just a few weeks old and big brother Ryan bit him so hard he started bleeding. We've come a long way since then! Ryan is such a good big brother, especially to his two youngest siblings. He has always been super helpful and gentle with Jenna, and now he is the same way with Andrew.


Lucas has surprised me with how much he loves his baby brother. So far he has not shown any jealousy whatsoever. Instead, he just wants to smother Andrew all day with hugs and kisses. (If only he treated his older brother that way!)

 And Jenna is just as sweet and helpful as ever. She brings baby his "paci", helps me change his diaper, and basically just wants to be in the middle of the action all day. Her new favorite phrase is "Baby Andrew is SO cute!". I think it helps having other siblings, because she is already used to Mommy's attention being divided.

Baby Andrew even smiled at his big siblings the other day! Even though they have all so kindly shared their latest cold with him.
