Lucas' Eighth Birthday

Lucas' eighth birthday started bright and early for Andrew and I. We got to work making homemade waffles for Lucas.

Jenna was up next, showing my her wiggly tooth. She's close to losing her first tooth!

The birthday boy woke up and didn't believe me that he was already 8. (He was born at 2:17am)

We went out front and discovered 8 birthday balloons in our front yard!

Thanks for decorating our yard Grandpa!

Back inside Lucas chowed down on his birthday breakfast.

And got a special birthday present from his big brother Ryan.

That afternoon we went swimming with the cousins.

It was a full pool! And the perfect day to swim...it was over 100 degrees.

Lucas requested Chili's for dinner, so that's what we did.

Lucas opened cards (this really long one was from the cousins), and got some amazing presents, including a kids' camera, gemstone kit, Where's Waldo book, and a cool new Sharks shirt.

After dinner Andrew was ready to eat cake!

And so was Lucas. He requested a vanilla cake with oreos on top.
