Ryan and Andrew

And just like that, Ryan has gone from immature 7-year old to an 8-year old trying to be a parent. Ha!

Ryan has become totally protective of Andrew lately. He is constantly watching him to make sure he doesn't get hurt. He grabs him when he is trying to climb up the stairs. He even FINALLY remembers to close the baby gates when leaving a room. It's a miracle!

Ryan also does funny things like tells me to cut Andrew's food into smaller pieces so he doesn't choke. He tells me if he thinks his diaper needs changing. He questions whether I'm properly holding Andrew when he's up on something tall.

It's so fun watching Ryan mature and strengthen his bond with his youngest brother. There is a 6.5 year age gap between them, so I am very curious to see what their relationship is like as they get older.
