Stitch Fix Review #28

Today I'm sharing Stitch Fix #28 with you! For those of you new here, I'll briefly explain how Stitch Fix works. You fill out a style profile and request a fix. You choose the date you want to receive it, and your stylist picks out 5 items for you. You pay $20 for your fix, but that money will be applied towards any purchase you make. You only pay for the items you keep, and send everything back in a prepaid envelope. Shipping is free both ways. Not only does Stitch Fix offer regular, petites, maternity, and men's clothing, but they now offer plus size clothing. And if someone signs up for Stitch Fix using your referral link, you earn $25 in Stitch Fix credit. Woohoo!

I actually recorded a video of myself opening up my stitch fix box! I was so excited to share it with you but my phone will only let me send a maximum of 1 minute of video. So frustrating! Sorry guys, you don't get to see my awkward self doing an unboxing.

For this box I requested nursing-friendly tops with stretch to them. I also said I didn't want anything too clingy, since I am still about 20 pounds over my ideal weight. I think my stylist did a great job fulfilling my request, but I'm having a hard time trying to decide what to keep.

Amatha Stitch Embroidered Henley Knit Top by Hazel
This top is cute....I really like embroidery. It just feels a bit too billowy. I did ask for looser styles to hide my post-baby tummy, but I'm not crazy about the way this one hangs straight down from my chest. Adam thinks this one looks very "me". Status: Undecided

Lenora Knit Dress by Colette
Adam told me this looked like something gumby's wife would wear. Huh?? While I thought the fit was pretty flattering for my body type (hits me at the narrowest part of my waist), I don't love how top heavy I look in it. I always feel this way after giving birth, but the way my body looks just makes me feel matronly. And at the same time, I felt like this dress looked a little young. Is it possible to look both matronly and young at the same time? Status: Undecided

Sam Hi-Lo Short Sleeve Tee by Market and Spruce
This is a basic grey top. However, it's a really nice and really soft basic grey top! I already own a couple grey t-shirts, although none fit as nicely as this one. It just drapes perfectly. But it's still just a grey shirt. I typically use Stitch Fix to find unique items of clothing with a bit more detail to them. Status: Undecided

Jansen Printed Linen Short by Kut From The Kloth
The previous grey top was sent to me by my stylist to pair with these bold shorts. Adam's opinion is that they look like pajama shorts. And they feel like them too! But is that necessarily a bad thing? They have an elastic waistband, which my postpartum body appreciates. They have a pretty bright color scheme, so I'd probably only wear them with a white, black or grey top. Would you wear them? Status: Undecided

Colleen Cold Shoulder Top by Fun2Fun
This cold shoulder top is a bit out of my comfort zone. Not because of the cutout shoulders, but because of the spaghetti straps and low neckline. I think it's a bit too low for me right now. I recently bought a cold shoulder top in olive green that I like. I'm not sure if you can tell, but the sleeves on this top are slightly belled, which I think is really cute. I've been wanting a bell-sleeve top. Just not sure this is the right one for me. Status: Undecided

What would you keep if this was your "fix"? On a completely random side note, please tell me what to do with my hair! I am so sick of it. Should I cut it short? Keep growing it? Darker? Lighter? Bangs?? I need serious hair help.

  1. The Amatha top is cute, but I agree it's too billowy. Easy top to wear while you're losing weight, but then you'd feel too maternity after awhile! I like the knit dress, but can you forget Adam's remark while you're wearing it? ha The grey top is OK, but just a t-shirt. The shorts are sort of look like camouflage'ish pants. I'd say no. I'd rather see a bold Hawaiian print--that would be cute. I love the top with the off-the-shoulder look. Very chic and a nice summer top. You look great in it.

  2. I like the cold shoulder, shorts and dress. But you look good in them all!
